Re: river tax

its a tax for the river to pay for the people who lookafter it. Ive just phoned them to see how much it will cost me they told me that for my 10 ft rowwing boat it will cost me ?27 but coz i want to put my 4hp outboard on it its going to cost me ?87 so i think im going to wait a little while longer.i think that the are the real river pirates!!!

I'm English, I escaped though.

Rivers in England are sometimes private . Not all, some.
The upside is there are some pristine trout rivers that are so well kept you aren't allowed to even wade in them.

Dangg....87# for a little tinny with 4hp outboard? We have something similar called a lake and river enhancement fee included in the registration fee of the boat. Our fees are nowhere close to your though. It's no wonder why they threw that tea party way back when.
