They
The power piston circuit doesn't hold vacuum at all when i apply it with a hand pump. The piston itself is kinda scratched up on the sides and the bore seems to have a little wear in it. I tried to dress it up with a brass wire wheel in a dremel. It would make perfect sense if the power valve was the issue because that would explain the fuel i saw in its vacuum port at the base of the carb.
It appears replacements are available. Unfortunately that wasn't the case when I worked on that carb so many years ago. 47??

Please use your own due diligence as the mind is starting to fail me.

Anyone have experience with reman 2 jets? Seems like my options are either chinese knock off for around $175 or reman for 250.
i just bought a brand new carb from rock auto for $284 and it got to my house in 3 days.

Well i got the new core from ebay and so far it looks great. Much less corrosion inside because the varnish protected the casting. There's very little wear on the power piston and the throttle shaft appears to have been replaced already.

I'm gonna grab another gasket set and see how this thing runs.

Does anyone know what the functional difference is between the windowed and windowless bowl gaskets? I've been using the windowed but this new carb came with the windowless installed.

I think i have it fixed after 2 weeks of trial and error. A new throttle body and new power valve/ piston did the trick.

Someone cranked down on the idle screws which cracked the casting at the idle jets. I didn't see it the first couple times because the damage is slight but probably affected the idle mix quite a bit.

Doubtful the idle circuits being split would increase the fuel delivered all that much.
