I have a OMC 350 260hp in my boat and I just had the carb rebuilt, it's a 4MV/divorced choke (Q-Jet).

The guy told me I didn't have the cam/linkage for the Fast Idle on it.

Got the boat like that, any problem about that?

Should I try to get the linkage/cam from another one?

Most marine carbs don't have a fast idle as you do that with the throttle, but the do have the cam which has no fast idle on it just used for setting idle.

So how do you set your idle now? If no cam I would find one, a boat shop may have a old carb laying around that they may sell you a part off of.

You ask how can I set the idle now without the fast idle screw.

I have a screw on the throttle side, which will play with the idle (the more you screw it, the more it idle fast), isn't that enought?

You're fine. That screw sets the idle speed. Autos had a fast idle speed cam and adjustment tied to the choke. Boats have the choke but idle speed is set by the throttle.
