Just purchased a 2002 Wellcraft 210 Excaliber Platinum (bowrider). Being an older boat, the labels or names on the dashboard rocker switcher are worn off. Can anyone give me the names of the switches so I can re-mark them? I know the first one (red) is the horn, but can't figure out the others. Wellcraft is no help

Thanks in advance,

Welcome to iboats!

Your best bet is to flip each switch in turn and see what comes on. Can you read anything at all, even a few letters?

I figured out the interior courtesy lights and the bilge pump but thats it. One works if pushed at the top or the bottom. I need do a better check when it's dark outside.

Thanks for the replys!

At the least, there should be a switch (or possibly two) for the navigation lights.

There may also be a switch for the bilge pump - which won't come on if there's nothing to pump!
Also, speaking from experience, a switch for the windshield wiper which may not work because the motor is 100% rust:(

The double action switch is for the navigation lights. One way turns on the red/green and stern lights; the centre position is OFF, and the other way is for the white mooring light. Be careful with this switch - I initially assumed that "down" was OFF - like all the other switches on my boat. So I left it there and came back 3 days later to a dead battery !! The lights were on.

Typically...

Ignition
Blower
Bilge Pump
Nav/Off/Anchor Lights
Aux/Misc/Courtesy/Cabin
Horn

Look under the dash, (take pictures if you can) usually the wiring itself and the type switch can tell you what it's for. What color is the wires leaving the switches.

A switch with a lot of gray with colored stripes is usually the nav/anchor light switch.

Brown, and brown white to a switch is usually a bilge pump.

Yellow blower,

and on down the line.

One of mine is a master, so no lights work without this one "on". Then there is horn, nav, and docking lights.
