Rod Holder Project....

My boat had no rod holders, now it has seven. The rear panel (original) was completely rotted away to nothing, pretty much only vinyl and foam left. Junked it, cut a new panel, and cut holes for the 4 rod holders in it. Also room for a pair of downriggers at the ends of the panel, won't have them mounted till next week.

The white triple-tube holder laying on the engine cover got screwed into the front of the engine box.

Just gotta cover it up with some vinyl and install the latches to keep it down when the monster fish hits!

Pay no attention to the saw dust and wood chips........

That'll work out nice. Be sure to use some batting under the vinyl so it doesn't wear thru on the egdes.

Great idea. And, you got rid of that pesky sun pad to boot. :D

Thanks!

I used an old thin quilt I found in the basement for padding under the vinyl. Wrapped the cover in it, stapled down, then covered that in plastic, then stretched the white vinyl completely over that. Looks much better now, I'll try to get some new pics of it completed when the sun comes back up.
