Hello everyone,
I am new to this board and new to boating so please be kind. I purchased a 1991 17.5" Dynasty w/ a 1991 135hp Mercury Black Max V6. This motor has been giving me problems from the start(about 20 days now. Purchased from a Marine). The first problem was a hesitation when I tried to pull someone wakeboarding or just get up and go(is this WOT??Not sure what that means), so I changed the H2O seperator and plugs. I'm 100% on the right replacement parts for this. This did not solve my problem, so I took it to the place that I got it from and they told me there was water in the gas. I got all the water out of the tank and the carbs. Soon after, a knocking noise started. Yesterday I was on the water and heard a loud bang, like I hit something, the boat came to a stop and died. I got the boat back to land and found a hole on the side of the lower block. I believe this was caused by a rod. I am wondering what could be the cause of this?? Could this be caused by the carbs not being adjusted correctly?? Is there anything that I could have done to make this happen? I am wondering due to the fact that I am going back to the place that I purchased the boat from tomorrow and am thinking they will try to get out of fixing it for me.
Thanks!!

WOT= wide open throttle usually 5-5600 rpm or so on your motor. How long ago did you buy it? 1 week yes they will probably help. 6months your on your own.

I'm sure they will try to get out of fixing it for you.

You did have oil for the injector, or in the gas if you premix, Right?
