Hey guys thanks for the help that you all were able to give.
With yours and a few others help and after turning my bilge into a sea of transmission fluid a few times because of changes I had to make I did get the Mercruiser pump to a bunch of home made stuff to the Volvo 280 T trim shield and then to the cylinders to work together. It actually went together pretty simple. It was me that screwed it up a couple times but once I worked through the screw ups I had trim.
I still to this day can not understand why someone has not come up with a after market trim system based on this design for the older Volvos. There is sure enough of them still around and there is plenty of interest with the folks who own them. Oh well after 5 years I have trim again (I had a MerCruiser before) and anyone who wants to copy mine can to. Just send a check to…………… :D

No sure if I can handle a black Volvo..... Looks wierd :p ;)
Looks good though, have you had a chance to take it out for a test run yet? Be nice to find out how much all your work helps.

7MPH out of the box. But the boat acts totally different now that the trim tabs are gone (don't tell the tabman but I don't think the new ones are going to be installed this season) and weight has been moved back. Oh... and there is trim. I need to try my Bad A$$ prop (its great for top end but not the greatest for everyday)and see what I get. I also have to get a better feel for the boat.
I figure I have about 650.00 in it total. A hundred a mile a hour is about average in the marine world I think so it wasn't that bad.
