I have a 2003 yamaha 115 horse 4 stroke outboard. The plugs that are in it are ngk LFR6A-11, well one of them has a crack in the porcelain part of it, why I dont know. I called the dealer and they said that they have the ngk LFR5A-11, I guess they are a hotter plug. will the hotter plug work ok in my motor. The ones it calls for are on order and wont be in for a couple of weeks. what do you think, thanks

surley someone else has the correct plug, try a merc dealer.
I wont reccomend changing heat ranges.
my experience dictates if I put the engine back together exactly as designed right down to the wire loom clips it works first time every time and both me and the customer are happy.

most any auto parts store should be able to get them as well.
