Start outside, but you will need more than one, and move them often. Rodents soon learn where they are located. You should have one or two inside to catch any that make it inside. To clear them all out, you will need a good month of regular diligence setting traps and rebaiting everyday. After the family is gone, you will need to keep traps set to catch visitors.
