I read a couple of posts and i think I have decided to use rope lighting to light up the deck at night. I like the idea of zip tying a few sections under the gunnel to shine on the floor. I was wondering about amp draw. I know LED draw very little. Do 12 volt rope lights draw more than the single units (3-4 led)? Can you buy a roll and make the connections yourself, or do you have to buy short sections pre-wired? I am thinking maybe foot long lengths. Two at the bow, 2 at the sides and maybe 1 under the splashtray. Overkill?
