Sit the engine with the pistons up and don't be in a hurry to try and turn it. An added caution. Do not under any circumstances use a wrench in an attempt to turn the flywheel. Rock it gently by hand with the plugs out. If you get slight movement, rock it only within those limits. Add more diesel fuel if that's what you have, and leave it sit (pistons facing up). Leave it sit several days. Keep repeating the process and eventually it will begin to turn more freely and then free up entirely. Pour out the diesel, insert some engine oil and rotate the engine by hand. Install new plugs, fresh fuel, some Seafoam and fire it up. If it runs, install a new wate pump impeller to be on the safe side. If it has a thermostat, change that as well.
