I got a ski rope with my boat, and I'm totally green to all this stuff. I've been skiing before but wasn't "in charge" of anything like this so i'm not too sure on how to do everything.

I have a tow harness that goes to the d-rings on my transom. How should I fasten my ski rope to that? should I tie it around a caribiner? then hook it to the harness? Is there a knot that is better than others that you boaters use for this type of stuff?

Also, what type of rope should I look into for the tube? Does it have to be a tube specific rope? I know its got to be about 60 ft. How should I fasten the rope to the tube and harness?

Re: ropes and knots

most new ropes have loops already in the ropes. the tube takes a tube rope. connect to harness and tube.
