Hello all, im about to start my restoration project on my boat suffering from wood rot. I stumbled upon the rot doctor site and am curious if anyone has used the products and how it turned out?
Thanks!

Re: Rot Doctor

the consensus on the site is that it does not work. it is simply watered down epoxy. those that used it, cut the area apart and there was not complete penetration.

the best solution is to remove and replace the wood. there are really good posts on the subject. find the threads by Oops or Woodonglass as a start.

Re: Rot Doctor

There really is no substitute for nice new fresh wood!

Doctored junk is still junk.

It's kind of like trying to pick up a turd by the "clean" end, you just can't do it.
