Rotary Steering Cable.

Hello, I am currently replacing the cable on my StarCaft 15' boat. Measuring by the information at the top of this page my measurements are 159 inches. Do I add 6 more inches for an outboard? Should I get a 13 or a 14-foot cable? Thank you.

I would suggest contacting the manufacture of the cable and ask them how to measure and determine which cable would be best. This way if it doesn't work they have to replace

More so, when measuring the way they suggest, do listen to that. I went from a detmar to a seastar and while I used the printed length on the old detmar, the new cable could easily have been a foot shorter and been fine. Measuring how they reccomended to do, the shorter one would have been what I ended up with. Live and learn.
