Rotor fix?????

Hello again. I have a new question for everyone. The rotor for my 68 johnson 100 hp has a plastic notch on the inside ring that keeps it in place on the crankshaft. The plastic notch has sheared off. I am having a real hard time finding this part anywhere. So can I somehow form that same notch out of epoxy? I was thinking of drilling out the area and making the form out of epoxy. Will this work? It just needs to hold it in place on the crank. Just looking for some thoughts. I have added some pics so you can get a better feel for what I am talking about. Thanks.

Epoxy or JB weld might work. I might be tempted to drill and put in some tiny (but long) screws to form the edges of the notch that is broken off. Or maybe machine an aluminum piece to replace the one that is broken off, and glue and screw it to the rotor? Itty-bitty work, though......but what do you have to lose? The part is broke, the motor won't run without it, so you have to either come up with a replacement, or fix the one that you have.
