rotten eggs and no power

I HAVE A 1990 LAZER 1800z WITH A 3.0L OMC COBRA DRIVE
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS WHAT WOULD SMELL LIKE ROTTEN EGGS COULD THIS BE BAD GAS I HAVE ALSO BEEN LOSEING POWER SEEMS FINE AT FIRST BUT AFTER RUNNING IT THE THING LOSES POWER I PUT A GLASS FUEL FILTER IN SO I COULD SEE IF THAT WAS IT GOT ME STUMPED

please dont type in Caps...

rotten egg smell is usually overly rich fuel smell with a catalytic converter...

if the fuel is rich (check plugs) or the cat is bad it will smell like rotten eggs...

I dont know if boats even have cats...??? but other than that I would say bad fuel...
