Hey guys, first time poster and new to the forum.
I have seen some of your comments mentioning seafoam, so I contacted a seafoam sales person about its use. I would like your opinion on whether I should seafoam as a regular additive to keep the carburetor and the cylinders clean. Also if you would validate the information about seafoam that the sales representative is giving. (Sorry I tend to trust people have worked on motors and mechanic more than just a sales representative.) This was the information provided.
"Sea Foam was originally invented to use in outboard motors back in 1942.Sea Foam is a pure petroleum blend with no chemical additives and is safe for all 2 and 4 cycle engines.I will attach some tech bulletins on using Sea Foam in fuel and oil."
"Sea Foam is not an oil substitute. If you per mix your fuel with oil then you should add 2 ounces of Sea Foam to your fuel-oil mixture. If you have oil injection then just add One ounce of Sea Foam to your fuel.Sea Foam ADDS UPPER CYLINDER LUBE BUT WILL NOT CAUSE ANY SPARK PLUG ISSUES,IN FACT WILL CLEAN SPARK PLUGS."
Any feed back from you guys would be great. Thanks in advance!!
