Can someone tell me how to set my RPM guage. It is reading about 1500 too high. Thanks. 2003 Mercury 90 elpto on a 2003 Tracker Targa.

What is the brand of the guage and are you sure it's the guage and not the engines actual RPM

I am not sure of the brand. It says it is idling at 1800 which I am pretty sure is false. It started doing it in the middle of my run yesterday. When I opened it up it went to 7400 rpm or so. It freaked me out a little so I putted around and took her home. Is there an adjustment somewhere or how can I know if it is right? Thanks alot

If a merc tach it should be set on 4
