Rub rail coming off my Caribe. Help me glue it back on.

I bought a used inflatable Caribe L9 in very good shape, but the only problem is the rub rail has come disconnected from the boat on stern. It looks like the old owner used a silicone to try to reattach the rub rail, but it did not do the trick. It looks fine while the boat is inflated, but once you deflate the boat you can see where the sealant did not hold. I was just going to try to clean it really well and reapply the rub rail with 5200. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help

Don't use 5200. It remains flexible and does not make a good strength bond for the application you are considering. The two part glues work well, but the proper prep and environmental conditions are a must. Check out these instructions. http://www.shipstore.com/SS/HTML/INFO/INFOHYPNEO.html
