Hey crew,

I'm trying to order and install replacement rub rail before splash time this spring. Everything I've read says to order the length of the boat + transom, +10 feet or so of extra for justincase, but I'm not, for the life of me, able to find anything in sections > 20 feet or so. I can't imagine, due to the expand and contract nature of plastic and rubber, that piecing together multiple lengths of 20' sections would come out with a clean result..

Best I can tell (visual comparison and measurements) the OEM junk on there looks a lot like this:

As always, thanks for the help!

Are you replacing the rubber insert or the whole thing including the extrusion?

The link is for the whole thing and that's why it's 20' long because it can't be rolled up like the rubber insert.

Check this page for the inserts only, up to 50' long - http://ww2.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Ac...prod_name?q=taco marine rub rail insert&s=sol

If you're looking for white, this may be it. Check the cross section of your insert - http://ww2.iboats.com/1-x1-2-White-...1566009--session_id.853160815--view_id.482344

I'd like to replace the whole thing. The backing is pretty chewed up too. So the ridged 20' section goes on in 20' sections? then the long insert runs the length of the boat?
