Manual #14 says it must be properly positioned and glued in bell housing. Is bellows adhesive OK and when or where is it properly positioned? My old one came out with the drive so I don't know where it was positioned. I assume slid all the way onto the bell housing to where is stops?

bellows adhesive is good to use it jsut goes in til it hits against the bellows retaining ring sleeve. i like to use a little 24c grease and lube the inside so it makes the drive goes in a little easier:)

And is it critical to glue it? I forgot to glue it, looks like the drive is coming off again. What does it actually seal up in there? Also can I pull the drive with lube and will the lube in the reservoir flow out the bellhousing?

it MUST be glued in place so you dont dislodge it installing the drive, and allowing water to enter the boot.Once you remove the drive an inch , the check valve will stop the oil

I'm not being lazy and don't mind pulling the drive again. I was just curious since that seal doesn't seem like the place to keep water out. It'll be glued in this weekend.
