I have a '77 Chris Craft Express Cruiser; 25' with an inboard Marine Power (Chevy 305) engine. It is a straight inboard with cable steering. I have repacked the prop shaft several times; no problem. My rudder has play in it and weeped some water during the summer. I suspect it too needs to be repacked. Have no clue how to disassemble and repack it. Would like to do it myself and save the $100 labor for $5 of packing. It's out of the water now. Can anyone give me instructions?<br /><br />Thanks.
