im new here,but i got a question ,what oil goes in a 1995 150 evinrude lower unit is it 80w90?

Hi, Mark.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Gearcase oil (some people call it grease) is 90 weight. It is best to buy it in bottles or tubes labeled for that purpose.

Mark, You may want to use synthetic Marine gear oil in that gearcase. My '98 Johnny 150HP specifies the synthetic stuff, so either your motor requires it or they changed the spec sometime after '95 and before '98.

Mark, You need to get a quart, since the gearcase takes about 25oz. Pick up the gearoil and the pump set. They are made by various manufacturers, any of whom will do. Fill the gearcase from the bottom, until it flows out of the top hole and put gaskets on the plugs
