Hey Guys, this forum has helped me many times in the past with outboard. Hopefully you can again. I have an 87' 175 txcua. First time out this year I went to open her up and couldn't get to wot. It would bog down and die. I then realized that I could hit the prime and keep her running but still no wot.
I took her home and changed plugs, fuel lines , primer bulb, decarbed, and cleaned carbs. Took her out again a few weeks later and was a little better but still have to build up speed and can't just hit the throttle and go. So I took her home again and have now rebuilt carbs. After getting it all put back together I put the rabbit ears on it . Still doesn't seem to get wot. Please someone help. Have I forgotten something simple? Also all cylinders fire and good comp. Thanks in advance for any help.

Firstly you should not be trying to get WOT on the muffs. You could get a runaway situation and fry your motor.
What happens if you squeeze the primer bulb when you try to get on plane ??
Have you checked the fuel pump output ???

I tried the bulb and didn't help but it does stay hard. Don't have the tools to check fuel pumps but I did think that would be next to try. After warming it up I just tried to hit wot real quick and just didn't sound like it. I will get the stuff to check pumps next. Thanks for the help.

Did you buy carb kits and rebuild them or just clean them?

I bought the kits and soaked all parts then rebuilt. I think jones may have helped me before. Any ideas?
