You Bill-haters are neat to read. You support Guili because you find him a great leader even though his morals are questionable. Yet the only thing that can be hung on Bill is Monica. I have not seen what he did that was opposed. Whitewater was found to have about as much basis as WMD. So the right jumped to Jennifer. Hate him you can, but he was effective in getting his agenda put into action. No he was a liberal, that no more defines him than he was a tall white male.

As for Guili, I have not seen anything he has done that would make him a good president. McCain seems like he might be ok although I am not sure I trust the way he plays to the camera constantly.

How about Robert Gates, Sec. of Defense. Maybe a dark horse without a political agenda. Where is Cheney is this mist? Who else is out there for the Republicans. Anyone left who is not chasing the young male pages.

Hey txswinner, I want to smoke what you are smokin'!!! I'm not a "Bill-hater", 'course don't know 'xactly what that means through your eyes n' all. Ya think there was only one thing hung on ol' Bill? Ever heard of SEXUAL HARRASSMENT there txswinner? Ever heard 'bout PERJURY that was ADMITTED by the perp there txswinner? No basis for WHITEWATER eh? That's why so many of the principals went to jail eh? Hmmmmmm. I guess ya never heard o' NEW YORK city either, where ol' Rudi actually reduced taxes, shrunk the government and lowered crime so much it effected the statistics for the whole country. Now that's a LEADER txswinner! Is he perfect? NO! Is he a CRIMINAL, (like your hero ol' Bill)? NO! Jus' an imperfect human, like some o' the rest o' us. Now what ya smokin' and where can I get some? As for Rudi 's career before 9-11.He did do a great lot to turn NYC from a very tough crime ridden city into a city where it is possible to walk through Harlem and not be scared.Under his leadership NYC became a law abiding city. Not only did he get the homeless out of the city.He took care of their medical problems and also helped to rehabilitate many of them.In short he did not just talk about problems. He solved them!
That is what I would consider his greatest feat
He was interviewed by avid Bush Hater, rancid talk show host Howard Stern on many occasions and even this wacko had great respect for Giuliani

Standing on the ruins of the Twin towers, was mostly grand standing

Although his popularity was pretty well in the dumper prior, Rudy responded well to a disaster. Better than Bush did. I think he would make a better president than Bush. I also think Alfred E Newman would make a better president than Bush. So the only direction the republicans have to go is Up. :)

I see two double standards here. Regarding his personal antics and marriage, if he were on the other ticket, you repubs would be first to bring that up to virulently dismiss his alleged qualifications. The other is his alleged qualifications. As former Mayor of New York, that might qualify him for a Governor's run, not a Presidential one. You repubs bring up Obama's short National experience. Guiliani has ZERO!

One thing that bugs me. Is he profiting from the 9/11 attacks? Would he have any name recognition outside of NY without it? Would anybody have ever uttered the possibility of a presidential run without thousands of people getting killed? Bad Vibes, man. :%

Willy, I agree with you. Rudy would make a lots better president than Bush. You think Rudi would have spent a week, and then finally inspected Louisiana and the gulf coast from 20,000 ft in AF one after Katrina? Not a chance. He'd been there ASAP.

That said, among Rudi's good points, and he has quite a few, is the fact that he tends to be a hothead who shoots from the hip, and no better at diplomacy and tact than GWB. Ideally, we need to regain our status and standing in the world, and if you think that is important, Rudy is not your guy.

I too don't care about his marital status.

"Regain our status and standing in the world" as what? Appeasers? I'd like to not go back to that, thanks.

Hey PW2, do ya want the French to luv us? Maybe we can copy 'em, and let the followers of the Religion o' Peace in here ta burn a few cars and attack the police? No Thanks: PW2. When America takes steps to confront Evil, (Like Ronald Reagan did, and George Bush is doing) the Liberal dominated press, and most world governments really hate us. Been goin' on since WW2 there: PW2. Nothing new here at all. JR

I don't like his views very much on social issues, but out of who's in the race already, he looks the best.... so far.
