My boat came with a Rule 500GPH bilge pump (no manual). The wires rest against my emergency 1 gal gas can.
I was thinking that I might be able to get the pump to twist on with the wires on the other side but I have been unable to figure out how to remove the pump.
There are 2 white plastic levers that look like they want to be squeezed to release but I can't twist or pull the motor while holding these levers.
The top of the motor says something like "Push hard and twist to lock" but nothing about how to release.
So, the questions are :
Would the motor lock into place 180 degrees from where it is?
How the heck do I release the motor?
