Hello everyone,
well got my engine to start after messing with the main wiring harness. My new problem is that while the engine was idling the rpm started rising and seemed to be way to high for safety reasons so i turned off the key switch and it kept running. I then grabbed the fuel rail and choked it out and it died. I am wondering if the engine got to hot and this is why it did it. I check the head temp with a heat sensing gun and it was at 160 but the water coming from the tatle tale hole was not hot or even close to being hot.If anyone has any idea whatcould cause this the help would be greatful.
Joshua H

The risk of run-away, especially OMC 40-60 HP twins has been in a previous thread - do a search on run-away.
