I have my 12v trolling motor hooked up to the plug at the bow and there is a switch there that has a run, charge, and neutral positions. I've never understood what this switch is for. I've always kept it in the neutral position and everything has always worked fine. I'm afraid to move the switch for fear of drawing more power from the battery and draining it. Does anyone know what exactly this switch does? Also, if anyone has any tips for snaking wire from the dash through the side hull to the battery would be great, i've tried metal hangers and can't seem to get it all the way through. I'm trying to hook up the depth finder since it won't work when its hooked up to the fuses underneath the dash(not sure how its supposed to be hooked up there).
