16' Sportcraft Sportsman.

I would like to get some cushions for these seats. Would this need to be something custom or is there a company/website that sells this sort of thing?

Re: Runabout rear seats

You could make your own Really easy! 2 yds of Vinyl (less than $20 bucks) and a Home Sewing machine. A FREE Donor Couch off Craigslist to get the foam from the cushions and about 2 hours work and you could have some really nice looking cushions. Search the forum and you'll find a lot of videos and pics on how to "Get er Dun!!!!"

Just make sure your splashwell is perpared to hold someone's weight while underway. Pounding thru wakes & waves will transfer weight to the structure differently then someone stepping into/off of the boat etc.............

WOG's got a good upholstery thread listed right there in his signature line:
"Building and Upholstering a Bench Seat

Yea it is. Not the most practicle spot but it would make two more spots so i could ride with 6. I was going to build a straight bench for the back but that would eliminate a lot of room, and i dont have much to spare....:grumpy:

I'm thinking something with a decent backrest to it to prevent people from falling overboard adjacent to the engine/prop

I saw that happen many years ago . . . it wasn't pretty.
