tipped the floats down and seems to run fine when i trim it up and down as much as i can in the barrel. headed for the lake to see if i fixed the orig. prob of it bogging down when i open the throttle up.

well did the test run and it runs great to about 70% percent throttle then it starts surging. starving for fuel i assume? do i need to tip the floats back up a little? i could change the surging some by trimming the motor up a little but couldnt stop it.

as mentioned previously, the problem is with what you have touched. you touched the carb again and changed the motors behavior. keep adjusting the carb.
