Don S, The s/n for the motor is 6890496 out drive housing is 6625791. Any insite on this set up?<br /><br />Thanks

You have a 1984, 470.<br />You might want to recheck that outdrive serial number, the 6625791 says you have a 1985 Mercruy 200 horse outboard for an outdrive.

Thanks Don, The out drive numbers were on the bell housing itself. The 2 and the 5 looked questionable when I was trying to read them but rest of the numbers looked Ok. I'll look again.<br />Would make for an interesting combination.....

Would that be a 370hp,.. 10cylinder..??..<br /><br />And,...... Would that be Propshaft hp,.. Or Crankshaft hp,.. Which Crankshaft.??......

DonS, My eye had deceived me..S/N on the out drive with a second opinion from my daughter this time S/N 6825791 sound better?

It's an Alpha I drive, but it's not the original drive for the boat. No big deal, drives do get replaced, and may have been a rebuilt drive installed instead of rebuilding the original.<br /><br />So much for Bondo's 370hp 10cyl....

Thanks, It looks like new. Paint, tags,decals etc. The original owner claims it cost him $ 3,800.00 a yr ago to have it worked on. New boots U joints etc. Any way to tell how old this one is. Just curious.

Would be one wild ride but with fuel in CT priced where its at now Wouldn't get much run time.
