Hey everyone,
I have a 1981 75 HP Evinrude 3 cylinder, after I put the boat on the trailer I unplug the fuel line and let the engine run in the water until it runs out of fuel before I pull the boat out of the lake. The reason I do this is so when I tilt the motor up and use the transom saver for pulling the boat fuel does not leak out of the carb?s.
I have been told by some that this is ok to do and others have said that it's a bad thing to do. Any pro's or con's on this?
