One more comment on octane....I always believed that higher octane burns cleaner than lower octane.....Is this not true??? Or is there something of a trade-off going on here where 87 burns dirtier but is still better overall than high octane?

You may be averting to oil company ads where they put more cleaner in their highest octane fuel..... I think Shell runs that ad showing an underwater scene with fish and all. Don't know what they do in their lower grades. I think Chevron runs Techchr...... in all grades; not sure as to amounts.
