Running tank dry

I've got a 1998 Johnson 115, oil injected. Manual states not to run it out of fuel. How big a deal is this if it should happen? Should this happen, thought just switch tanks, pump up bulb and go on my way. Haven't had much experience with the oil injection.<br />Thanx

Howdy, Frog.<br /><br />If the carbs stop getting gas and keep getting oil. . . well, you got a mess.<br /><br />You might have to overhaul your carbs and replace your plugs to get her to run again.<br /><br />Good luck.
