Running with muffs on?????????

Just recently bought first boat and was wondering how long can you run boat with the water muffs on it. Thanks.

Technically, as long as you need, but only at idle or a smidge higher.

If she never warms up fully past 160, then all you are doing is creating wear. Warm engines are happy engines.

However, 3-5 minutes is just fine, and it'll feel like forever anyway when on the muffs.

Make sure the OUTDRIVE is in the DOWN position when running engine on muffs ..
