runs but loud ?

1978 seaking, it is running but very loud, i took slencer off 1979 butit looks hollow no mesh goes on front of carb over choke ??? not sure what to do, does the silencer have anythin in it or just screws onto card face ??? thanks for any help guys.

Have no idea what you are working on, model / made by ??, horsepower, whatever.

Anyhow, silencers normally do not have anything in them.

And some Sea Kings are noisy by nature.

Ooops sorry its 1978 7.5 hp really loud and i got a 1979 for parts twist throttle trying to use parts off it new at this sorry.

Are you running it in water?Does it seem to be exhaust noise?
