hey guys, i wasn't sure how to search out my problem. i am working on a 1988 90hp mariner 3 cylinder for a friend.

there was a batch of crap gas from the marina last week and she was down to one cylinder. i drained what i could and put some fuel drier in the next two tanks. she still was idling poorly, so i ran some valve tech de-carb per the instuctions and she really cleaned up above 3000 rpm.

the center cylinder seems lacking at low rpm. i pulled the plug after an extended idle and it was not totally soaked, but it didn't look like it was firing every hit.

i was going to replace that coil ( as a spare if anything ) before i delved into the carb and compression check. i have a single cylinder synchometer, but i was afraid disrupt the carb linkage to pull just the center carb.

any advise would be appreciated.
