I have a 82 merc 225 that runs rough at idle and throttle up to about 2500 rpm. Floor the throttle and your off to the races at 65+. Seems to be loading up at low rpm. <br /><br />Any suggestions
Check and adjust the idle speed jets.<br />Remove carbs and verify float levels are correct. Clean and rebuild using new needle valves and seats, gaskets etc. Make sure floats are not 'water logged'. If so replace them.
