Okay, now I'm really impressed! I need more pics of the whole project though, (especially how you mounted the H/E).<br /><br />What does the valve cover say?? 150hp???<br /><br />I've got a Holley 4barrel on mine giving me approx. 175hp. I'd love to get some oversized jugs in the new motor, but I've been told the outdrive just wouldn't hold up to much more!

I will try to post more pics tonight.<br /><br />No good pics of the mounting though....I made a bracket out of aluninum and mounted it to the block.<br /><br />The valve cover said 160HP, this was a '67 block, had a 2bbl carb. If you're getting 175 out of the 250 IL6, I think that's pretty good!<br /><br />Not sure what the OMC outdrives are rated for.

Half systems are not worth the money, if you are gonna invest, do the whole thing...In 27 years in the trade I have only seen 1 engine casting left unserviceable due to corrosion, and it was an Atomic 4....but those manifolds will go away in a couple of years ( much cheaper alloys ) and no matter what you do for cooling, the elbows still need annual inspections after they are 2 years old as they are your raw water dumps regardless of whether or not your system is closed...
