Rust stains in gelcoat

Hi
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing rust stains from a gelcoat surface?? TX

I just went thru the same problem.try some stuff called Whink rust stain remover.Its at the grocery store or Ace hardware.If that does not work get some Starbrite hull cleaner from Walmart.Between the 2 they will come off...

Some of the stain removers from the store may work, but if they don't try some Ocsylic (spelling?) acid, it works very well. Pool supply stores sell it, one product is marketed as Cobalt Cure, made by United Chemical. It does a very good job of removing dark stains from the inside of a dishwasher also.

Thats the main ingredient in the Starbrite hull cleaner also..

Sprinkler rust remover. Home Depot $3.99 a gallon.

Exact same Oxalic Acid. Much cheaper!!
