Rusty old powerhead?

I have a disassembled cylinder block that came with a boat i bought.Dude ripped motor apart and i got it in buckets.The cylinders and crank are all rusted but aluminum block seems to be in good shape.Can this block be saved or worth anything to someone,or just take to scrapyard?I already sold lower end,which paid for the boat.It's a V6 merc. late 80's.Any idea's would be great,specially if someone needs to replace a cracked block or somethin'

Every now and then you can find somebody to buy and old block, you may be able to sell it on CL or Ebay today, or you may still have it 5 years from now.

A good friend of mine has a few dozen blocks stored in my shop after he moved out of his shop, he's tried to sell them for a couple of years without many buyers.
