Can something be done to a new set of trailer springs to keep them from corroding or at least slow the corrosion down, maybe a coating of some sort. I use my boat in salt water and seem to have to replace the springs every 3 years or so.
Use the goopiest, stickiest, nastiest looking grease / oil stuff that you can get your hands on. Rinse and repeat often. We use a waterproof lube in the stamping industry that is like treacle, sticks like poop to a blanket and is real hard to wash off with water. It is made by Henkel lubricants. trouble with doing this is that all the dirt and gritty stuff sticks to it as well !!! so you can be between the devil and the deep blue sea !!!!
