Re: Rv paint

An automotive polyeurathane enamel would be my choice. It's tough and shiney. Want to step up, find a catalyzed version.

I'd find a local automotive paint store and consult with them. Another hint, get yourself a decent HVLP spray gun. They throw around one heck of alot less paint.

I just sprayed a TV stand I made. I had to spray it out on the side yard. I got out my HVLP gun and it was plugged up so I filled the cup with lacquer thinner, set it aside and went and found my siphon gun.

I started spraying, and what a horrible contrast. It just filled the air with paint spray. I went back to my HVLP gun and fortunately the lacquer thinner had done it's job. Refilled the tank and finished spraying the stand with very little overspray flying around.

I think they say that a siphon gun will put about 35/40% of the paint on the surface, the rest in the air. An HVLP gun does just the opposite.
