Last Thursday I sent my Power Steering Actuator to FL to be re manufactured. I would like to rebuild the PS Pump as well. I can do that rebuild myself. Can anyone recommend a good source for a rebuild kit?
Thanks Always for your help!

No need for a rebuild kit on a Saginaw pump. Buy one from the local auto store or online and keep the HP valve off your old pump. Only need the pump and not the housing (or tank)

a rebuild is $11, or as AD mentioned, a new pump is $49

simply google Saginaw pump rebuild.

there is only about 3 moving parts in the whole thing

You can grab one from a junkyard or a new one off an automotive shelf, most of them are the same or close enough to work ( they all look identical, some have a different reservoir.. The money part is the valve assembly which is simply swapped.

Saginaw did produce some larger displacement pumps and home built hydraulic builders like them as cheap hydraulic pumps. Those may not work so great but you'll only find them on 1970's land yachts including Ford/ Lincoln cars

Thanks All! So...the reason I was thinking of rebuilding was because the pump did make the classic whinning noise as I located my steering actuator leak. Is there away to determine whether it needs to be replaced/rebuilt or not?
The pump has about 230hrs on it. If I need to replace it I will....but if it's still good to go....I'll install my actuator and go on.
Oh yeah....my actuator arrived at rehab this AM. :))))
