Re: Salt Water Series 150 Pump Failure
hello<br /> the tank swtiches on the motor strictly control pump off, pump on, green lights and redlight/audible. if your getting a yellow check the black ground circiut and the tank switch. with a yellow lamp there will be no oil transfer.the controller figgures why bother aint no oil to transfer. yes the filter in the remote tank can clog and the engine will use oil faster than it can be transfered. a quick test is to drain the engine tank. make sure you have at least a half tank in the remote and turn the keyswitch on. you should have 3 flashing bars or lights on the tach, a buzzer and oil transfer. it should refill the tank completely in less than 180 seconds. if it does not you have a restriction or clogged filter. does your trim gauge work? if it does the sender is working. if not you have a 3 wire system. the resistance on the black to pink is about 600 ohms. and 800 to 1200 varying with the position of the sender on the orange to black wires. I may have the pink and orange reversed. its early and I am old. as soon as my legs cooperate I am off to work. but the black wire is a common ground the orange is a reference and the pink is pick off voltage. so good luck and keep posting
