Saltwater use question

I have recently purchased a 2010 Alumacraft 1756 cc. I am also fairly new to boating. My family stays for a week every summer in Copano Bay in Rockport texas. Alumacraft recommends that an aluminum boat be removed from salt water daily and rinsed. Is this over kill or completely necessary? I do take very good care of this boat and do not want to do the wrong thing. However, I see lots of boats that never come out of the water while we are down there. I do understand and have seen pitting from what I have heard is some form of electrolysis. This is a beautiful white boat and I intend to keep it that way. Can any of you more experienced boaters give me some advice, please? I guess I got started off backwards, let me say that I am a newbie here. Although I have been benefiting from information seen here over the last year and a half in making the decision on what boat I really wanted. Thanks, baldy locks.

Re: Saltwater use question

I use an alumacraft lunker165 in salt water often. However I trailer it, just make sure you have a sacraficial anode installed. And the owners manual says you have to bottom paint it I think. Read your owners manual.
