same trim problem.

I have posted this before and got troubleshooting advice, completed troubleshooting to no avail. The issue is the trim only going up a little before it stops, sometimes it trips the 50 amp breaker on the manifold other times it doesnt. If it doesnt trip the breaker I can wait 5 min or so and it starts working. DonS advised me to tap on the trim pump motor when it is not working and while someone else holds the trim button up or down. This did not do anything. I can hear the solinoids clicking each time the button is pressed.

My question now is how do I test the solinoids? There are two.

99 5.0gl with a SX outdrive.

it doesnt matter if I am trimming up or down, I get the same result.

First, you don't have solenoids, you have relays.
