So I went to a bay that had a very low tide and I unfortunately found out that my outboard got into some sand (a bit with my and I'm pretty sure that's why my 2024 Suzuki 20hp is now flashing on the "check engine" light. The propeller went into it a bit so I'm pretty sure some sand got sucked into the water intake. Now the cooler system still flows out water off the engine but it seems like it may have a bit of sand in it as it seems a big tighter, not sure about that.
So questions that you can help me with: Does the "check engine" light flash about it having sand into the water cool system? Would sand be pulled into it really quick and, if so, can I take the sand out just out of the bottom unit or would I have to maybe push water into the engine up top to push it back down? Anything else that I probably should do?
Thanks,
