Forgive me in advance for my ignorance but I dont know much about sat cable. I have 4 receivers all with blue cards that say access card 4... What do I have to do to make these unit work? and is there any resale value for these cards? I know back in the day bootleg(burned) cards were all the craze, but not so sure anymore... Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I should add that I am not interested in using these cards or receivers,im happy with my hd cable and cable modem...Im cleaning out the garage and put an add on craigslist for them and the inquiry into these boxes have been astounding. All the emails and interest actually made me think I may have something here, that I shouldnt just give away for free... Any help would be appreciated.

Ive read that I have the "old" p4 cards and they are useless, but if thats the case why so much interest in these units? Can the receivers be plugged into anyone that already has direct tv service to add to a tv in another room with these old cards? Again Im not sure how it all works, but the mass emails I have gotten begging to come pick these up has me wondering.

Re: Satelite Dish

You will certainly have a lot of folk wanting them for free. If there is ever a "fix" for the card receivers then they will be sitting on some cash.

Yep,But that fix is never going to be found.....

The old P4 cards were great about 5 years ago and you knew how to write those fixes to them to open all the channels.
DirectTv figured out how thousands of people were getting free tv and they put an end to it. They hit all the old P4 cards and went to a double chip in the P5 that no one has cracked yet.

Ditto! They're up to P12 now. Unless someone from within leaks out the secrets.

Those craigslist emails can be scammers so be careful.
