Re: Say it isnt so Emmitt!!!
If memory serves, I was playing in the band at the very first highshcool game that Emmitt played. I was in the Milton Band, he played for Pensacola High. P'cola wooped the snot out of us. It was a slaughter, and Emmit was their weapon of choice. I used to be an Emmit fan, but found out that he personally is no one that I would care to associate with. Also, he is no longer the player he once was. His per game carrying averages are a joke compared to what they once were, and compared to younger players it is obvious he is no longer a great contributer to anyone other than his team's opponents. Like Troy Aikman(sp?) stayed in game longer than he should have, Dan Marino, Joe Montana.....these guys play until their greatness is overshadowed by their inability to function with even marginal competitiveness. I think it is past time for Emmitt to pack up his white girls and head for home, which, BTW, is located just SOuth of I-10 on Senic Hwy, Pensacola. Nice place.
